Mountaineer's village Vent
In Oetztal, from 1.900 m to 3.774 m
Vent is located in a calm and quiet spot at the end of the Oetztal. This is the place, where streets end and paths start. If you pass Vent, you find the "Rofenhöfe", the highest farmed village in the eastern Alps, then nature at its best follows.
Arriving vacationers are welcomed by the baroque "Jakobus church". Historical buildings and farms are significant for Vent. Above the village the highest mountain of Tyrol "Wildspitz" and the local mountain "Thalleitspitze" wait to be explored.
Vent is the door to all mountains: either you take the lift or you walk up to the meadows and glaciers. The hiking tours start right in front of our house. Consequently it's the perfect starting point for all kind of tours: high alpine mountaineering, hut hiking, ski mountaineering in spring, summer, autumn and winter.
The "Schaftrieb" (sheep are brought and picked up to/from the meadows) in June and September and the church fest (July) are the cultural events over the year.
